PHOTOGRAPHY: A JOURNEY WITHIN

As a fine art photographer born in Izmir, my relationship with photography began in the 1980s and has since evolved far beyond a visual pursuit. It became a deeply personal journey of discovery, transforming how I see the world and how I experience the present moment.

In 1997, I transitioned to digital photography, integrating technology into my creative process. For many years, I explored different genres, aiming to shape my visual language. Since 2015, this journey has been enriched and guided by ongoing education, workshops, exhibitions, and competitions.

In recent years, environmental and climate-focused themes have also become a central part of my visual storytelling. I believe photography offers a quiet yet powerful voice to raise awareness about the fragility of our planet.

For me, photography is a form of expression. Each frame carries an emotion, a thought, or an untold story. I strive to develop a personal and authentic visual language—one that reflects my inner world and point of view, far from imitation. My goal is not just to capture a moment, but to infuse it with spirit and share it with the viewer.

FROM ENGINEERING TO ART

My background in engineering gave me an analytical way of seeing. In 2020, I pursued academic photography education at the university level, combining my technical foundation with artistic knowledge. Today, my work reflects a synthesis of precision and emotional depth.

  Through abandoned spaces, erosion, pollution, and natural resistance, I document our changing planet, raising awareness of what we stand to lose and why we must care.
